New York Yankees, Wizard of Oz


Never say the New York Yankees don’t have a sense of humor. In their twisted view of ‘fraternity rush’, the Yanks made team newbies dress up like characters from The Wizard of Oz for a bus ride to the airport and on the flight to their game in Tampa Bay.


Joba Chamberlain was infectious as the Cowardly Lion, Edwar Ramirez clearly wielded a mean Wicked Witch of the West and Ian Kennedy was Dorothy.

"I think I got the short end," Kennedy said, as he tried to negotiate his pointy ruby slippers.
