Fisticuffs! Kid Rock and Tommy Lee Duke It Out At VMA's

MTV VJ Sway gave his recap of the fight: "Kid Rock walk up to the Motley Crue drummer, who was sitting next to Diddy, and decked him." The incident was confirmed by Palms Hotel and Casino public relations representative Larry Fink.
Lee and Kid Rock are both the ex-husbands of Pamela Anderson. It was unclear whether the fight was "Anderon" related or not. Rich Nice a record producer added: "Kid Rock threw the only blows that landed, a backhand and a punch but Tommy Lee was the instigator.
"It looked like Tommy Lee initiated it because Kid Rock was ignoring him, and Tommy Lee kind of antagonized him. And then when Tommy Lee stood up, it looked a little weird, like 'Yo, what?'
"When Tommy stands up is when Kid hit him the first time with a backhand," Nice continued. "And then Tommy Lee looked like he was trying to get at him to aggressively retaliate and then Kid Rock hits Tommy Lee again — bong. And then security grabs Tommy Lee in a headlock and pulls him off."
Kid Rock was allowed to stay for the remainder of the VMA's while Lee was escorted out.
Jamie Foxx begged "Stop all this white-on-white violence."

The Las Vegas Police Department issued this statement about the altercation:
"A little after 8:00 PM last night we received a call that a disturbance had occurred at the MTV Video Music Awards. We had a lot of officers working in and around the awards so they got her fairly quickly. We determined that the altercation was between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee. After our investigation, Kid Rock did receive a citation for misdemeanor battery. Everyone involved was interviewed."
Kid Rock must appear in a Vegas court in the next three to five weeks.
