Elle Degeneres laments Gay marriage bans

Yes i love this woman, well she is amazing. I love the stuff she talks and all. Yeah similar to her i love Tyra, Oprah, these woman all make a difference. They are not afraid to speak up. Thats one thing i love about these celebrities. Okay well coming back to the point, Ellen is talking against the ban, trying to support the gay marriages and all. I am not a big fan of gay marriages, well i have no opinions on it cos i have really never thought of gay marriages but well Ellen is doing it for the rights of these people who want to have it. I have no idea to praise her for this step or to say omg she did it. She married a woman anyways. So what do you all think, what she did is correct?
LOS ANGELES - Ellen DeGeneres says she is "saddened beyond belief" by the passage of a constitutional amendment in California banning gay marriage.
The talk show host said in a statement Wednesday to The Associated Press that she, "like millions of Americans, felt like we had taken a giant step toward equality" by electing Barack Obama as president.
DeGeneres says that with the passage of California's Proposition 8, "we took a giant step away."
DeGeneres wed actress Portia (POR'-shuh) de Rossi in August, following a May Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage in California.
She contributed $100,000 to fight the amendment on Tuesday's ballot.
DeGeneres asserts she will "continue to speak out for equality for all of us."
